सुन्दर डोल्पा

Beautiful Dolpa:

Dolpa region is a distant region of Nepal and the central point of this area is Shey Phoksumdo National Park. The east and south of Dolpa are surrounded by the Dhaulagiri and Churen Himal ranges and to the west is the Jumla district. Trekking to Lower Dolpa offers you the remarkable and breathtaking experience of a lifetime. The notable features seen here are snowy peaks, ancient and remote villages, rich wildlife, lovely Buddhist monasteries and wonderful lakes. The people of this area are simple and warm-hearted with an enthralling culture and traditions. The cultural traditions of this area are basically linked with the Tibetan culture.
Trekking into Dolpa presents an exposure to the high and remote Himalayan valleys, resembling the Tibetan highlands. The main highlight of Dolpa trekking includes “Shey Phoksundo National Park” which is one of the major National Parks of Nepal. “Shey Phoksundo Lake” is another famous feature of this region. The lake is totally free of aquatic life, which the crystal waters clearly demonstrate. Surrounded by rocks, forests, and snow-capped peaks, the area has been described as one of the world's “Natural Hidden Wonders”.
The Dolpa trekking starts at Juphal and follows the track to Dunai, then continues to Tarakot, way up to Bang la Camp, the uppermost point of Dolpa trekking. After passing through Sanu Bheri village, we then descend to the good-looking Phoksundo Lake, which is a piece of the Shey Phoksundo National Park.

Island peak is an easy name imja tse. Eric shipton’s party in 1951 named it Island peak because it looks very much like an island if viewed from a place called dingboche. The peak is actually an extension of the ridge coming down of the south end of lotse shar. The summit was first climbed by a Swiss team as a training exercise in preparation fpr mount Everest and lotse.
Island peak has been considered as one of the most popular trekking peaks given its difficulties and accessibility especially when supported by a Nepalese climbing guide. Island peak trek is one of the most fascinating and exciting activities. Trekkers will have maximum adventure in the mountain if they combine this with Everest base camp trek. This trek not only involves an enjoyable trek but also offers a magnificent scenery and a spectacular view of the dominant Himalayan peaks in Everest region. Trekkers can see nuptse(7,879m) Lotse(8,501m) Middle Lotse peak(8,410m) and Lotse shar(8,383m) from here. The glimpses of majestic Makalu(8,475m) in the east , Baruntse and Amadablam in the south are the most memorable once while climbing Island peak. Once you experience the climbing of island peak you will gain a lot of knowledge and techniques that an ardent expiditooner need to know . It is like an appetizer in a restaurant. Most of the mountaineers try this peak for the purpose of acclimation of scaling higher mountains. Kala patthar and Everest base camp treks may be the best attempt for acclimization before proceeding to island peak climbing.
As a common practice the normal routine for climbing island peak is south east flank and south- west ridge. The base camp lies at pareshyagyab in between imja tse. and the lateral morine of the imja glacier. A great care must be taken to avoid the possible avalanche specially during heavy snowfall

This trip is combined with three different land peak and amadablam climbing. Anybody can join in this tripm as can as trekkers as well as mountaineers.

Upper mustang- A forbidden kingdom:
Brief Introduction:
Mustang, a region in northern Nepal, has found spot among the top three regions in Best in Travel 2013 by renowned travel guide book Lonely Planet.Life in Mustang revolves around tourism, animal husbandry and trade. Mustang is also known as "Tibet outside the Tibetan Border" for it survived the Chinese invasion of 1951 and hence fosters much original Tibetan culture, although it is now politically part of Nepal and, except for a nine km portion from Chhusang to Syangboche (just south of Ghiling (Geling)) as of August 2010, it is bisected by a new road linking it to Tibet to the north and to the rest of Nepal to the south. Plans call for the final nine km portion to be completed in just a few years' time, which will provide, with a high point of 4660 m at Kora La on the Mustang-Tibet border, the lowest drivable corridor through the Himalayas linking the Tibetan Plateau via Nepal to the tropical Indian plains. (The easiest and only widely used road corridor, from Kathmandu to Lhasa via the Araniko Rajmarg (or Araniko Highway, traverses a 5125 m pass.)
Upper Mustang consists of two distinct regions: the southern part and the northern part. The southern part is similar to the rest of Tibet. The Northern part was forbidden and isolated so the languages and traditions were able to evolve into a unique and rich culture. Mustang is perhaps the last enclave of pristine Tibetan culture. Lo-Mustang, the capital is a walled city ruled by religious king. Untouched by modern civilization, life in Mustang goes on as it has for centuries in an unhurried pace. As everywhere in the Himalayas, this area provides spectacular mountain scenery highlighted by Dhaulagiri at 8167 meters (26,795ft) and Annapurna I at 8091 meters (26,545ft). You will be surrounded by more than 35 mountains over 6000 meters (19,680ft) high. The elevation of the the trails rise from 2815 meters (9,233ft) to 3780 meters (12,398ft) above sea level.

 Climate:
Mustang is largely dry and arid land with the altitude of 3240m.
